Grade 12 Physics
Master the fundamental laws and equations you need to excel in your Grade 12 Physics exams.
Popular Physics Formulas
The net force equals mass times acceleration:
F = ma
This fundamental law states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force acting on it and inversely proportional to its mass.
Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation:
F = G(m₁m₂)/r²
Describes the gravitational attraction between two masses, where G is the gravitational constant, m₁ and m₂ are the masses, and r is the distance between them.
Energy of motion:
KE = ½mv²
The energy possessed by an object due to its motion, where m is mass and v is velocity.
Relationship between voltage, current, and resistance:
V = IR
States that the current through a conductor is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance.
Relationship between wave speed, frequency, and wavelength:
v = fλ
Describes how the speed of a wave (v) is equal to its frequency (f) multiplied by its wavelength (λ).
Faraday's Law:
ε = -N(dΦ/dt)
The induced electromotive force (ε) in a circuit is equal to the negative of the rate of change of magnetic flux (Φ) through the circuit, multiplied by the number of turns (N).
